
Our tradition begins in Ormylia, Halkidiki and continues today with an emphasis on quality, consistency and a modern brand image.
In 1936, in Ormylia, Halkidiki, Christos Oikonomoudis started with only five stremmas of land and built a successful path in farming and agricultural production. By making use of Halkidiki’s ideal climate and fertile brackish soils, he produced outstanding products through passion and hard work. In 1957 he was honored by the Thessaloniki International Fair for his contribution to agriculture.
The farm passed to the next generations, who contributed to its improvement and evolution. Today it covers 25 stremmas and includes a model samphire production unit. As cultivation takes place in modern greenhouses, fresh samphire can be enjoyed throughout the year.
