In 1936, in Ormylia of Halkidiki ,Chris Ikonomoudis began with just 5 acres of land his successful course in the field of agriculture and the production of agricultural products. He worked strenuously taking advantage of the ideal climatic conditions of Halkidiki, the fertile and brackish soil and his single principle: '' excellent quality products ''. Soon, his hard work and vision were rewarded. In 1957 he was honored by the International Fair of Thessaloniki for his contribution in the field of agriculture. Since then, many things have changed. The farm which is now 25 acres has passed to his children and later his grandchildren and has become a unique production line of rock samphire.
Throughout Ikonomidi’s generations, only one thing remained the same : His aim for excellent quality, stability and perfection.
